Frequently Asked Questions

Navigating the NDIS system as a participant or service can be tricky with constant changes and outside factors influencing policies. Since its earliest stages, we have been working effectively with the NDIS system and have developed a proven track record in supporting our clients and service providers to get good outcomes that support the individuals goals and needs.

Whether it is as a Support Coordinator, Allied Health Professionals or Support Workers we can help you engage with and understand how to work within the NDIS framework.

Firstly, make contact with the NDIS via (insert number) to request an application form. Preferably this is to be done by the participant or with them present as they need to provide consent. Once you have received the form, TLC assists in coordinating all necessary forms, assessments and clinical data as well as collaborating with the health professionals in the individuals support team to collate all necessary evidence. TLC will then develop a report clearly addressing the NDIS criteria and outlines the individual's case and the negative impact of their physical and/or mental health issues on their psychosocial functioning.

Becoming an NDIS provider can be a long and protracted process but it is worthwhile. As TLC is a registered provider for eight services under NDIS we are able to provide guidance with specific insights and tools to make it as painless as possible.

There are options available if you received notification that your application was unsuccessful. The first step is to review and understand the NDIS criteria and the type of evidence that is necessary. Using our extensive experience, TLC can facilitate all the evidence necessary by collaborating with the health professionals in the individuals support team and strengthen the reapplication to NDIS.

Eligibility criteria for the NDIS can be accessed here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

If you are uncertain, as part of TLC’s onboarding process for NDIS we can provide an assessment and interview process to determine eligibility against the criteria of NDIS. ore importantly, we will work with you to develop and strengthen your application and interface with the NDIS.

TLC currently offers in-community based services and programs from Caboolture to Logan, Redlands and Ipswich. Our in-office sessions are available to everyone in the community. If you are uncertain please contact us (insert number) to discuss options for facilitation in your area.
